William King Biggs, Jr. and Thomas Frederick Ballman are the Frick and Frack of Kirkwood heroes. Ballman is best known as the police spokesman for the two kidnapped boys who are later to be reunited with the parents. Biggs’ middle name King came from a German immigrant named George King (Georg König), a American Revolutionary Soldier (Hessian).

Thomas Frederick Ballman was shot dead in the line of duty. He was in the media at the time for the two kidnapped boys did reunite with their parents. Auf Wiedersehen, Tom.
